The Italianate brick farmhouse was built in 1850 on land owned by Judge John Stuart whose parents came to America in 1794. During his lifetime he acquired large tracts of land throughout South Middletown Township, then known as Letort Spring. Acquired by its current owners in 2006, it has undergone restorations which have been in keeping with the integrity of the architecture.

The elegant and spacious residence sits on 5 acres and features a large foyer and grand walnut staircase that leads to the 3rd floor attic. The home’s six bedrooms, six bathrooms, and eight fireplaces, all original to the property, have been restored. The addition of a solarium and connecting 12 car garage have been added to this magnificent farmhouse. The gentleman’s parlor, large living room, and dining room abound with detailed moldings and fireplaces. The new kitchen and butler’s pantry lead to the summer kitchen each with walk in fireplaces. A newly added solarium invites one to the patios and gardens at the rear of the property.

The Leukemia & Lymphoma Society is the world’s largest voluntary health organization dedicated to funding blood cancer research, education and patient services. Their mission: Cure leukemia, lymphoma, Hodgkin’s disease and myeloma, and improve the quality of life of patients and their families.
